NOAA Twin Otter at KHYA

Post by Cary »

I've been wanting to get one of the NOAA Twin Otters for a while, and during my vacation to New England, noticed N46RF was passing through Hyannis. It was a 3.5 hour roundtrip drive from where I was staying, so I decided to take a chance, despite not knowing anything about the airport or how long the Twin Otter would be staying. Luckily, it ended up overnighting before departing back south, and I was able to use a creative approach to photograph it cleanly:

What was that creative approach? Did you use the lost and confused tourist or did you go all Twin Otter fanboy to get close to it?

Just used my car as a step stool and positioned myself in the one place where I could shoot between a light post(?) and hangar on the other side.
