Very cool! I don't know if I'd like to work somewhere that had a good view of a major airport...I think I'd be too distracted by the planes and would want to leave the office every time good stuff came in :) Years ago, I was working in an office on the approach to Zurich for a week, and some great traffic would fly past the window, like the Malaysian Freedom of Space :)
I used to work for Lufthansa and that was the view out of my office back then

The view was mostly obstructed with antennas, so not ideal for photography, but I found it nice for once just to watch airplanes without that photography stress. And luckily I always had Jobs where a short sneak out of the office for something special wasn't a problem. But no Malaysian freedom of space at that time anymore unfortunately...
But these days it is farer away from the Airport than it seems and my window is facing the City, the other side...

But back to airplane pictues, have had quite a few added as well. Weather wasn't great so far in september, but those Moments you had sun made up with some great contrast

I finally caught the Minion Sun Express, which had eluded me so far

Lately Qatar sends their leased LATAM 350s to Frankfurt twice daily

And a shot that I wasn't even looking forward to shoot, as such departures will be rather frontlit during that time of the year, but due to the nice contrast the shot turned out better than I thought it would.

Lovely Jetblue and private 737!

My newest one. thought about such kind of shot for a while, but either cloud was too thick (and nothing visible at all) are already gone.
This time it worked out like I wanted.

Nice balcony shots, Cary.

Been lucky with a rainbow once again lately:

This was my favourite catch (in terms of subject) in a while. I saw it from far a few days earlier during holidays in Lisbon and dreamed about getting it one day and thought I must return to Lisbon for that, as Air Azorees / SATA only flies narrowbodies to FRA, but on that day they had a nice upgrade and conditions could not have been any better.

Also caught these nice ones:

Are you sure you're not using rainbow stock photos and making composites? ;) Very cool. And that Azores is great! Goes nicely with the dark sky.

haha, damn you got me ;) ;)

Joking aside it took me ages until I got my first rainbow shot some 3 years back and never managed another ever since then....until this autumn, where weather went a bit crazy at times

Poor light, but there aren't too many chances to see 737-200s in the US anymore:

Frontier's newest A320neo, "Georgia the Painted Bunting", arriving Trenton-Mercer Airport on its third day of revenue service. Unfortunately, it took a 5 1/2 hour mechanical delay after landing :(

I do Need all of Lufthansa's creativity to catch something newsworthy :D :D

Here is the "5 Star Hansa" , in order to celebrate their 5 Star Award. Should come to an Airport near you anytime soon, EWR and JFK are destined for it. Will post it here when I know that it is planned to fly there.

Cheers,
Julien

Very nice catch!
The only issue with EWR now is that it comes in right around sunset. Will have to wait a few months for it. With it being so large, it doesn't take the cross runway so my recent black cloud at EWR might not work against it too much :D

Another new Allegiant A320 arriving TTN. Two years ago, I'd have to drive 1 1/2 hours each way to get an Allegiant plane. Now I walk 5 feet from my desk (and 7 feet from my work desk)

Nice, Cary. Looks like you save quite some time. :) :)

We've been also lucky when the 5 Starhansa came back from its trip to Mexico as the sun just came out some minutes before:

Sadly it will be around 2 months before we can catch that 5 star in daylight at EWR.

So far it is only doing South America flights (that depart late - way too late for a nice banking shot), so I would be keen on it doing some US routes, too.
JFK should arrive in daylight all year long.

But thats on the other side of the city, I know.
From whatI've heard it should stay for a while, so you will catch it at EWR when the days get longer.
